Julie Pankey is the owner of JMPankey Partners, a spa consulting company and founder of The SpaHive. Julie started her business seven years ago because she wanted to give back to the industry that has provided her so much. The desire to coach, support, and encourage spa owners and managers was the natural progression of her spa career. Over the past 25 years Julie has had the pleasure to learn and work with many top industry professionals. From these opportunities Julie has gleaned best practice and perfected systems to impact revenues and increase business. Julie is referred to as the 7-Figure Spa Consultant because she has helped many operations reach and exceed a seven figure status. Although the spa industry is Julie’s greatest passion, her greatest joy is at home with her family.
Jennifer is a management extraordinaire. Having 10 years experience in salons and spas in the Boston and Connecticut regions, Jennifer is a seasoned manager capable of handling any and all complications. Her executive prowess is demonstrated in her ability to consistently budget effectively, oversee operations and exercise intuition to handle team and client alike. Jennifer’s direct approach allows her team to feel that they can always trust and communicate honestly with her. Her degree in Business Administration and Management is reflected in her confidence to lead. Jennifer, although a literal mom of 4, has gained many children throughout her career by her positive attitude, willingness to teach, and simply being an inspiration to all. She is community and customer driven, results oriented and has a passion for systems and structure. Unrivaled are Jennifer’s competence, care and gift for her role in the spa and fashion industries.
A twenty year beauty industry veteran, Nina has cultivated her skills in the spa industry by focusing on spa operations, marketing and social media, training and retail. Nina has worked with top industry consultants helping to bring ” best industry practices” to their clients.. Guiding businesses to increase their productivity and profitability is the most rewarding aspect of being a consultant, empowering owners to reach their business goals. The creative aspect of spa development is her passion. Additionally, Nina is a trained aesthetician and certified laser technician
Victoria started her career as a massage therapist in the 1990’s and has proudly worked up through the ranks of spa operations. Victoria currently serves as Executive Spa Director at the Mayflower Inn and Spa in Washington, CT. Victoria has worked with legendary properties such as Bernardus Lodge, Marriott, Pacific Hospitality and now Grace Hotels. Victoria is a self proclaimed workaholic and thrives under pressure which she balances out with cherished friendships, good food and good wine. She is blessed with 3 amazing kids and 5 awesome grand kids with one more on the way. Victoria loves to travel, the outdoors, the beach and all things spa.
Rachel Aidan is a passionate Certified Strategies Coach who has been working in the beauty industry for more than 20 years. Rachel has owned several companies including a medical spa, boutique and several salon s and spas. She recently sold her last company, Aidan James Salon & Spa and is a multi-award winning stylist whose work has been in publications like O Magazine and behindthechair. Rachel understands the balance between creative pursuits and business. ” I love the intersections of concrete business and creativity,” says Aidan, ” I am focused on building successful team-service brands, conscious leadership and education that drives sustainable growth.”

Who is Julie Pankey?
Julie Pankey launched the SpaHive idea in mid-2015 when she realized that the spa and salon industry lacked a mastermind forum where attendees can collaborate openly and freely to help move their businesses to the next level of success. Julie decided it was time to change that, and so the SpaHive was born.
A few words from Julie:
I am Julie Pankey, founder of JMPankey Partners. I started my business seven years ago because I wanted to give back to the industry that has provided me so much. The desire to coach, support, and encourage spa owners and managers was the natural progression of my spa career. Over the past 20 years I have had the pleasure to learn and work with many top industry professionals, which inspired me to begin my consulting business. Spa is my passion and it flows through all my work projects.
My career in the spa industry began in 1993. I’ve worked in many spa roles in 5-star spas and resorts as: Executive Spa Director, Manager, and Technician. Additionally, I am a Certified Master Nail Technician, Reiki Practitioner and Certified Spa Supervisor. From these opportunities I have gleaned best practices and perfected systems to impact revenues and increase business.
Some career accomplishments and milestones that I’m especially proud of:
- Managed more than 100 staff at the Spa at Norwich Inn
- Grew the Spa at the Cliff House Resort’s 25,000 ft. facility to 7 figures within its first 2 years
- Doubled the spa retail revenue at the Four Seasons Resort, Great Exuma in twelve months
- Increased bottom line profit at the Wentworth by the Sea Resort and Spa by 15%
- Represented brands such as Mary Cohr, OSEA Malibu , Guinot, Christopher Drummond Beauty and TNG
- Served as Co-Chairman of the ISPA’s Membership/Implementation Committee for five years
- Consulted with numerous spa and salons to build a more successful and profitable business
